Mascara Application, Removal & TipsUpdated 2 hours ago
Whether you’re looking for bold volume, defined length or long-lasting wear, these tips will help you get the best results from your UKLASH mascara.
Which mascara should I choose?
General mascara tips
- Avoid pumping the wand in and out of the tube. This can introduce air, causing the formula to dry out or clump more quickly. Twist or gently wiggle the wand as you remove it instead.
- If there is too much formula on the brush, gently wipe away the excess before applying.
- Use light coats to avoid overloading the lashes.
- A Lash Guard & Comb can help protect the eyelid during application.
- Use a Lash Separator to separate the lashes and remove any excess product.
- Always close the tube securely after use and store it in a cool, dry place.
Volume Boost Mascara
Volume Boost Mascara is ideal for creating fuller-looking lashes with bold, buildable volume.
How to apply
1. Position the curved brush at the roots of your upper lashes.
2. Sweep the brush from root to tip, allowing its shape to hug the lashes.
3. Apply further coats until you achieve your desired level of volume.
4. Apply to the lower lashes if desired.
How to remove
As Volume Boost Mascara is waterproof, we recommend removing it with our Lash & Brow Wash. Allow the cleanser to sit on the lashes briefly before gently wiping away. Avoid rubbing or pulling the lashes.
Lengthening Mascara
Lengthening Mascara is designed to separate, define and visibly lengthen the lashes.
How to apply
1. Wipe away any excess product from the flexible silicone brush if needed.
2. Sweep the brush through the upper lashes from root to tip.
3. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.
4. Continue building until you achieve your desired length and definition.
5. Apply to the lower lashes for a bolder finish.
How can I help prevent smudging?
Skin oils, eye creams, humidity and watery eyes can sometimes contribute to mascara transfer. To minimise this:
- Avoid applying heavy moisturisers or eye creams immediately before your mascara.
- Allow each coat to dry fully.
- Try applying a light dusting of translucent powder beneath the eyes to absorb excess oils.
How to remove
Lengthening Mascara is water-resistant and can be removed using warm water and a gentle cleanser. You can also use our Lash & Brow Wash. Avoid rubbing or pulling the lashes during removal.
Tubing Mascara
Tubing Mascara uses lash-wrapping polymers to coat each individual lash. It is designed to provide long-lasting, smudge-proof definition while remaining easy to remove.
The application and removal method is the same for both Black and Mocha.
How to apply
1. Position the precision pine-cone wand at the base of your lashes.
2. Sweep from root to tip to separate, define and lift the lashes.
3. If you would like to build the finish, apply additional coats while the mascara is still wet.
4. Avoid pumping the wand inside the tube. Twist or gently wiggle it as you remove it to help prevent the formula from drying out.
For a softer look, you can also try wearing Black on the upper lashes and Mocha on the lower lashes.
How to remove
- Soak a reusable pad or clean cloth in warm water.
- Hold it gently against the lashes for approximately 10–20 seconds.
- Using gentle pressure, slide the mascara tubes away from the lashes.
- Rinse away any remaining product and gently pat the eye area dry.
There is no need to scrub or pull the lashes. Tubing Mascara can also be removed with our Lash & Brow Wash.
